My heart always sinks when I get to the end of one of my fav scented candles, which right now is my Costes candle I purchased from Black Caviar , the classic Diptyque candles and of course Jo Malone – knowing that not only do I have to go buy another $70 candle, but I also have to throw out it’s pretty jar. Well now I no longer have to and neither do you, by recycling the candle jar and using them as make-up brush holders which can also house your tweezers, eyelash curlers and other beauty tools, while making your bathroom or dressing table look a bit more classy and elegant.
This can be achieved in just three easy steps…
- After there is little to no wax left in the candle, wait for the jar to cool down and simply use a pair of tweezers to remove the wick. If there happens to be a bit of left over wax, heat up the jar by placing it in warm water to melt the wax.
- Using warm water and dish detergent, wash out the candle jar to remove all the soot. Be extremely cautious if there is a sticker on the outside of the jar if you want to keep it. If it gets wet, it may fall off.
- Dry the jar and arrange the items as you wish! SO EASY!
Have you ever turned a candle jar into a make-up brush holder? Let me know in the comments section…
