The month of March is all about women as this Thursday marks the date of International Women’s Day – which really should be every damn day, shouldn’t it? To commemorate this empowering day, two Yorkville boutique owners – Shellie Willms of Pomp & Pageantry and Lillia Balint of The Black Box Boutique have joined forces to put on a fab event this coming Saturday “Women Supporting Women: Shop Local” at Toronto’s Park Hyatt Hotel.

There is a ton in store during the event which will include clothing, beauty and jewelry vendors. Guests will be treated to free gel mani’s, snacks, high tea and swag bags while they shop. I mean, not really a bad way to spend a Saturday if you ask me. More importantly, a portion of the proceeds (15%) will be donated to an amazing cause called Dress for Success, a non-profit org that helps improves the lives of women across the globe by promoting economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing business attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life.
