Since the end of 2012, Beyonce has been literally EVERYWHERE from ultra sexy mag covers (Hello GQ!), singing at President Obama’s Inaugeration, participating in Gucci’s “Chime for Change”, her doc film “Life is But a Dream” and of course her epic performance at the Super Bowl this past January. But what’s the latest for Queen Bey? Her upcoming Summer collaboration line with Swedish retail giant H&M, which will consist of commercials and ads timed perfectly with her tour “The Mrs. Carter Show” (kicks off later this month on April 15th). The star’s commercial for the brand will also feature a brand new track from the singer titled, “Standing on the Sun”.
In line with any project Mrs. Knowles-Carter is aligned with, she was very involved in the collabo and lent more than just her face – she also participated in designing the collection: “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on, exploring the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth, and winter. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.” Bey said in a recent release. This is not hard to believe at all seeing as though the campaign was shot in the Bahamas (Nassau) and was shot by famed photog duo Inez and Vinoodh. The commercial was directly by Swedish director Jonas Akelund, who has directed some of music vids for the singer in the past.
In the campaign Beyonce is wearing some amazing key pieces perfect for the beach and summer – think flowy sundresses, cute fringed bikini’s and an amazing bodycon dress. I literally cannot wait to get my hands on some of the items.
XO,
