So sorry Free City (the trendy sweatpants from 2 years ago), LazyPants are the newest, coolest and most comfy sweats currently on the market. If you haven’t gotten your paws on a pair yet, you need to get on top of it immediately. Founded last year by Torontonian Adam Bledin, the LazyPants was created with the goal to change the definition of lazy from being “unproductive” to more about having fun and of course, being comfortable. The brand is inspired by relaxation and rest and at first feel, you can immediately tell they are built with major quality materials – Turkish cotton and French fleece.

Last Thursday evening, Bloggers, VIP’s and noteable media and fashion industry insiders gathered at Kultura Restaurant in Toronto to view the highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2013 collection. LazyPants is taking on a brand new design direction for the summer with neon (the ‘Terry’ LazyPant will be available in neon orange, pink, yellow, and green). But my personal fave are the new features with the “Original” LazyPant which will now come in colour tie-dye, black & white tie-dye, stone wash and galaxy. I was also happy to see French fleece shorts with pockets in standard colours; blue, red, gray and black – perfect for summer weekend.

Bledin, who is also the Creative Director claims the highlight of the collection for him is the neon and tie dyes and stated at the launch, “people have some much on their plate everyday so it’s very important to me to create a product they could enjoy when they are doing nothing. However, I want people to wear their LazyPants no matter what they are doing, because as I have come to learn, people do “lazy” in their own way. And at the end of the day it’s about having the luxury of doing what you want to do and enjoying yourself.”
