The 15 days of the Toronto International Film Festival are filled with film screenings, private events, and of course exclusive after parties that go to 4am, but one of my fave parts of this fortnight festival is the media and gifting suites. These suites, which are usually only reserved for celebrities and hand picked media, act as a chic resting station if you will, where guests can refuel, rest, drink, conduct interviews and pick up some pretty fabulous swag!
With Xavier Hottinger – International Public Relations Manager from Swarovski France
This year I was lucky enough to be able to check out Swarovski’s Fashion Suite with a few other bloggers/stylists/influencers which was located on the 30th floor in the penthouse of the Trump Hotel Toronto. On display was world renowned brand’s latest collections; Nirvana, 2013 Red Carpet Collection, Secret Treasures Fall/Winter13, the Romeo & Juliet Collection (which included the actual gown worn by Juliet in the movie) and the Sweet Treasures Catwalk Collection.
Each stunning piece on display in the gorgeous and spacious suite oozed luxury and some took several hundred hours of labour to create. Trust me when I say being in the room was like every girl’s dream. But if it were in fact a dream, I would have been walking out of there with a few items. However, lucky celebs like Frida Pinto were gifted with this amazing , one-of-a-kind gift package containing items from the Nirvana collection which included a clutch, sunnies and accessories, including the classic Nirvana ring – a gigantic replica was actually flown in from Cannes, France to be displayed at the Fashion Suite.
