My Mother always told me to show off my best assets, which I like to think are my legs, so for years I gravitated to skirts with short hemlines. After seeing the latest skirt trend all over the runway during fashion week I have finally been swayed from mini to midi skirts.
Longer than right-below-the-knee and shorter than a maxi, the versatile midi skirt is ultra ladylike and elegant. Always looking for a way to juxtapose my looks, I balanced this demure skirt from 424 Fifth’s Spring collection with the perfect cotton, long sleeved crop top and leather jacket. The key to keeping this look classy with a crop is to only allow a sliver of skin to be shown between the skirt and the shirt.
