Now that fall is officially here, it’s time to say goodbye to our strappy, open toe sandals for a while and say hello to more weather appropriate footwear – enter the classic biker boot. Biker boots have been a mainstay in my footwear collection over the past few years because of their perfectly chic and rugged combination. What I adore most about rocking this style of boot, they actually look better the more beat up and worn in they are…meaning they can last you several years. Surprisingly, biker boots are quite versatile and even the most girlie of girls can find a pair to fit their vibe. Not to mention, they are the ideal item to wear in between seasons to expertly pull together a transitional fall look.
Although these biker boots pretty much go with everything, I love to style them in more of an unexpected way with an outfit that’s feminine but interjects some tomboy elements. To achieve this look I chose leather, leather and leather. Some may disagree with leather from head to toe but it can be done in my opinion if each piece has a different texture of leather. I found these killer boots a few weeks ago at Vince Camuto’s Toronto flagship location in Yorkdale which I paired with one of my current obsessions this season, a floral moto jacket. It’s a brilliant piece in which the cut is more on the masculine side but the red roses make it anything but. I am really into the dope chain detailing on the boot’s upper, which adds to the rocker-chic aesthetic. A classic skater skirt, sunnies, a vintage felt hat and my go-to bag right now from Nella Bella (which I have been using as everything from a handbag to carry-on luggage these days) are additional pieces I used to round out my look.
