Since it’s launch 2007, the Nike Tech Pack collection has expertly blended both fashion and function together and last year the brand stepped it up with the release of the Nike Tech Fleece. The Tech Fleece collection quickly became a staple for athletes and those fashion savvy individuals who similar to myself, like to incorporate sportswear into their everyday street style.
When the promo video for the collection dropped late August (which includes my fave tennis players; Serena Williams and Genie Bouchard), I was immediately drawn to the focal piece of the women’s line, the Nike Tech Butterfly hoodie. I own a couple and I’ve had them in HIGH rotation as of late. It’s thermal construction combined with the comfiest cotton blend makes it perfect for this time of the year. Thanks to Vanessa Borovicka, Nike Women’s Global Apparel Designer known specifically for her tech pack and tech fleece creations, this sweater can take you from the gym, to dinner and everywhere in between.
The cross crossed detail in the back along with the dolman sleeves makes this topper both flattering and functional, plus the asymmetrical front zip and colour contrast zip is sure to make you stand out in a crowd. Here, I’ve paired the infamous “Butterfly” with a pair of printed leggings from Nike’s sportswear collection and the latest cross training shoe called the Zoom Agility.
