As social media (Instagram, Twitter, Vine, Pinterest) continues to dominate the fashion world, and us common folk, I think it’s safe to say that the iPhone has quickly become everyone’s must have accessory. For those who know me well, I’m literally attached to my phone and the thought of it getting damaged, or dare I say lost, gives me anxiety. There has not been many options for attractive looking protective cases in the past, which is probably why some choose to go case free but alas there is finally a line of cases that combine both fashion and function that will have bloggers and fashion fans pulling out their phone with pride during fashion week!
The Lily Kwong Collection has officially launched this month and it’s the pet project of Lily Kwong, cousin of Designer Joseph Altuzarra and fashion “It-Girl”, who has been featured in Vogue several times on the merits of her style, education and philanthropic activities.
LK Collection Designer, Lily Kwong
Over the last year, she has been brainstorming and culminating ideas with Atlanta based company Cellaris to introduce a line of iPhone and iPad cases inspired by the juxtaposition of textures seen on the runways, with an interjection of exotic animal skins. On how she came up with this tech-chic idea, “I had an epiphany after seeing friends in Prada shoes and Balenciaga jackets with flimsy plastic or rubber iPhone covers – which were always faced down at dinner tables.” Proving Lily is the kind of girl you want as a bestie, she has named each case in her line after a friend; The Mira, in Baby Blue ostrich; The Karen, in Green calfskin and The Chloe, in Polka Dot pony hair.

And the luxe features don’t stop there friends…each case is secured with either a Swarvoski crystal, 18K gold plated or leather trim “bracelet” which secures the case with a hinge and clasp. Unfortunately, not for the budget conscious, these cases run from $449-599 for iPhone and $749-799 for iPad. View the entire collection here.
