It’s been a while since I’ve done a music post…and I couldn’t think of a better reason to delve back into this category on the bloggie. The countdown to this year’s most anticipated album has finally begun (sorry Kanye and J.Cole) and the world’s fave rapper/lyricist/businessman JayZ is set to drop his 12th studio album “Magna Carta Holy Grail” next month on July 4th BUT…if you are a die hard fan, such as myself and are too thirst to wait till then, you are in luck my friends, and you have Samsung to thank for it. The uber cool tech company has just launched the Magna Carta Holy Grail App, which allows you to get never before seen footage on the track’s inspiration and HOV in the studio with his genius production team; Rick Rubin, Pharrell, Timberland and Swizz Beatz. And wait for it, it gets even better, be amongst the first million to download the app and get the album for free, 72 hours before the worldwide release.

Rumour has it, Samsung paid $5 mil for this deal, meaning the rapper will pocket that amount in sales before the album is even released. I. Can’t. Deal. This guy takes business savvy to a whole new level! So stoked for this album and cannot wait to hear what will no doubt be the summer anthem for the rest of 2013.
