At the beginning of Fall I was determined to increase my inventory of outerwear, which has been pretty easy to do with all the fabulous coats in stores this season. After collecting several styles over the past few months, I was alarmed when I realized I had yet to acquire a classic camel coat and for someone who loves fashion as much as I do, it’s almost sacrilege.
Items become classics for a reason and a camel coat is quintessentially that. The cut, shape or style of said coat doesn’t matter, it is universally known as a solid investment piece. While most defer to black or grey coats during the winter months, camel can be just as versatile and even more stylish. And more importantly, I find that camel as a colour works well on all skin tones.

Think camel coats look too “preppy”? Well you can think again! I really enjoyed pairing this coat with leather joggers – I know, a bit unexpected but it totally works with one of my favourite tees. The car coat also has vegan leather accents/trim and the most perfect high collar to keep you warm and looking chic during polar vortex 2.0
