Most people start off the new year with some sort of resolution, or what I sometimes refer to as “Delusions of Grandeur” and usually most often than not it is fitness and/or health related. January 1st we all start fresh, eager and motivated to integrate new things into our lives, adopt better behaviours and let go of our bad habits, but statistics show that by the week of January 20th, approximately 50% of Canadians will let their New Year’s resolutions fall by the wayside.
If you follow me on social media you have seen that I have been spending my Thursday mornings working out with Canada’s only Nike Master Trainer Eva Redpath at Academy of Lions, which has been a great addition to my fitness regime, but I have also been enjoying the updated Nike Training Club app developed by the brand to help make working out not only accessible but also convenient for our super busy schedules. The app recently got a facelift and is now known as the Nike+ Training Club App (N+TC) and contains over 100 NEW full body workouts by the brand’s master trainers and inspired by Nike’s top professional athletes, so essentially it’s like having a pocket version of Eva Redpath available 24/7, which is pretty dope. And for you runners out there, you will be happy to know that N+ TC is now synched with the Nike + Running app.
I, along with my friends at Nike want to help you stay on track with your fitness and health goals and challenge you to use the N+ TC app once per day for a week starting Monday January 20th, in hopes to help you make exercise a part of your lifestyle in 2014. I will also be doing a workout a day on the app, beginning with the Spencer O’Brien workout so you can find solace knowing that you are not going to be alone. Need some motivation, advice or just want to simply let me know you are participating in the challenge? Tweet me @sashaexeter and use the hashtag #NTCfit
