I know many find linen either a tricky fabric to pull off or feel that it’s reserved for retirees in Palm Springs, but I totally beg to differ. Although I have seen some linen looks go awry, if worn properly, it can be flattering…and it’s the only material that still looks good wrinkled. In the right colour and style, linen can be appropriate for both day and night, while managing to keep you cool on super hot days.

Interested in adding some classic linen pieces to your closet this season? Ann Taylor’s Spring collection is the right place to start. Besides this pair of classic crop trousers, my other linen favourites from the brand are the Open Back Linen Dress, Embellished Linen Top, Mesh Stripe Linen Sweater and the Bijou Stripe Pencil Skirt.
