If you’re looking for an occasion or reason to add more jewellery to your wish list, then look no further ladies because Tiffany & Co. has refreshed their iconic Atlas collection with beautifully updated pieces as an extension to the classic line. I was recently invited to the jewellery mecca’s Toronto flagship location to get a sneak peek of the latest pieces created for the line, which are now available for pre-sale, and learn a bit more about when and how the collection came about.
The collection is named after Atlas, the Greek god of the heavens who is often seen lifting the globe above his head, and is also a nod to the Atlas clock that presides over Tiffany’s Fifth Ave store. The exclusive line began with it’s first piece – the Atlas watch back in 1983, with a design so unique, it was awarded with a U.S. patent. Just over a decade later, the collection expanded to include housewares, fine jewelry and sterling silver pieces. With the success of Atlas over the last 3 decades, the line’s signature and historical reference to roman numerals (symbolic of strength and freedom), leads to instant recognition amongst jewellery aficionado’s across the globe.
I legit spent hours combing through the collection, happily with glasses of Veuve Cliquot champagne in hand, and at the end of the evening found it difficult to peel myself away from all the beauty. The brand has done a tremendous job at revamping the Atlas aesthetic to make it more appealing and wearable for a younger demographic. The cuffs with weaved numerals in both gold and silver are my absolute faves followed by medallion pendant and matching earrings (all four are currently available for pre-sale now).
Other notables from the exclusive collection; the Atlas bangles (featured at the top of the post), which come in a range of golds with diamonds or without, look just as stunning when worn alone as they do stacked or layered. Crafted in 18K yellow, white, rose gold, as well as sterling silver, the classic pieces from the Atlas collection can be worn day to night making them timeless.
Prices range from $140 to $12,700…Head to Tiffany.ca for more information and to view the entire Atlas collection.
