I’ve had such a blast spending time in my kitchen with my #CookingWithCuisinart team Garrett Tonge and Casie Stewart over the past couple months, It’s been a great experience sharing and trying recipes that have been easy to execute with Cuisinart’s amazing products. Brunch is something that all three of us look forward to each weekend but we thought we would change it up a bit and test out the brand’s 5-in-1 Griddler by making ourselves a delicious, full brunch made up of French Toast, Steak, and yummy Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus at home.
Want to try this at home…? Here is what you need:
Eggs n’ Pepper
– Cut 1 red pepper into quarter inch slices and place 4 slices onto the griddle
– Crack 1 organic or brown egg into each pepper slice
– Add some shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top while eggs cook
– Allow egg to fry for approximate 2 1/2 minutes or until desired doneness level
– Add salt & pepper to taste
Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
– Wash and cut one bunch of asparagus
– Take prosciutto slices (roughly 200 g) and wrap asparagus *bacon strips can also be used as well but most be defrosted
– Grill prosciutto wrapped asparagus 2 minutes on each side or until desired doneness level
Fluffy French Toast
What you will need:
- 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- French bread (cut thick into 12 slices)
– Measure flour into bowl, slowly whisking in salt, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla extract until smooth
– Heat up and lightly butter flat grill attachment (or pan if cooking on a stove top)
– Soak break slices in mixture until fully saturated on each side
– Cook bread on both sides until golden brown
