Growing up as a tomboy, I used to have quite the collection of sportswear – fitted hats, jerseys, ball shorts, etc…mainly Chicago Bulls and University of Michigan – it was the nineties and those were my teams. But this Summer ladies in jersey’s seemed to be everywhere in Hollywood, with even Jourdan Dunn and hot-mess  Miley Cyrus in on the fashion fun. To be honest, I wasn’t sure that my adult self would be able to pull off the look but that thought went out the window when I saw Rihanna rocking a vintage Ottawa Senators hockey jersey (with MAJ Tom Ford shoes) to a LA Lakers game a few months ago.

Maybe this jersey trend shouldn’t have come as much of a surprise to me when earlier this year there was a lot of athletic inspired  collections both on the runway and in stores. Not sure how long this look will be around but I’m just happy I was able to have a brief love affair with it this Summer.

When I become obsessed with something there is literally nothing anyone can do to stop me. I combed the city millions of times on the quest to find the perfect jersey, which I was lucky to find at Jacyln Genovese’s Queen Street boutique Jac Flash and decided to keep it “Street but Sweet”  by pairing it will sky high sandals and a black snap back.
